Getting Things DoneAJ have you consider the Getting Things Done methodology? There's even an Emacs mode implementing it! (Sorry, I don't know of a vim equivalent, which would be my preference) All that to say that I don't actually use GTD (yet), as my prioritised TODO list in a paper (gasp!) diary works well. I might migrate to GTD though as it sounds interesting.
p.l.o.a. now accepting old entriesTo keep the masses happy, I've modified the planet install for p.l.o.a. so that it accepts entries older than a year. Previously it ignored the feed for someone who had entries that were more than a year old. This was the default behaviour, and from looking at the error log, there were more than 20 people who fell into this category. Whoops. I've moved that out to 3 years to keep everyone happy - although you need to ask, why would anyone want entries that old being syndicated anywhere. It'd be better if people changed what they offered on their feeds to only recent entries. Anyhow, that's fixed for now. Just need to update the install sometime soon to a later release of planet, and make sure atom gets supported properly - while there's the feedburner solution, I'd prefer to do it natively.
p.l.o.a. problemsAndrew, that p.l.o.a. issue is already known (thanks wildfire) and scheduled to be fixed (and is my fault that it hasn't yet been fixed). Hopefully over the Christmas break this and atom support can get added when I get a round tuit.
Pia muppetGo you little Pia muppet. For the uninitiated, this is an attempt to support one variant of Mikal madness.
Dell I5K and SuspendGood News! Ubuntu Hoary properly suspends shadowfax, my aging Dell Inspiron 5000. That is, suspend to disk using ACPI works. Suspend to RAM hangs the machine still :-) Thanks Ubuntu - much appreciated. Finally having suspend is great. |
